1. Indicele produciei industriale Indicele brut al produciei industriale n luna martie 2008 comparativ cu luna precedent, a nregistrat o cretere pe ansamblu cu 6,7% determinat de cretereaproduciei n industria extractiv (+16,6%) i n industria prelucrtoare (+6,6%), n timp ce n sectorul energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap, producia a sczut cu 2,9%. Ramurile industriale care au contribuit substanial la creterea indicelui brut al industriei prelucrtoare au fost:echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+27,8%), fabricarea materialelor de construcii i a altor produse din minerale nemetalice (+27,6%), substane i produse chimice (+23,4%), alimentar i buturi (+17,7%). Scderi semnificative ale produciei pot fi menionate la urmtoarele ramuriindustriale: mijloace de transport rutier (-17,9%), produse textile (-12,8%) i articole de mbrcminte (-10,0%). Pe marile grupe industriale s-a nregistrat urmtoarea evoluie a produciei industriale: industria bunurilor de uz curent (+12,6%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+10,9%), industria energetic (+4,2%), industria bunurilor de capital (-3,8%) i industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-6,0%). Comparativ cu luna martie 2007, nmartie 2008 indicele brut al produciei industriale a nregistrat o cretere cu 2,9% susinut de creterea produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+0,4%), industria prelucrtoare (+3,0%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+6,0%). Ramurile industriale care au contribuit substanial la creterea indicelui brut al industriei prelucrtoare au fost: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+30,5%), produse din tutun (+21,8%), mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (+18,6%), echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+16,6%). Scderi semnificative ale produciei s-au nregistrat n ramurileindustriale: maini i aparate electrice (-16,5%), mobilier i alte activiti industriale n.c.a. (-12,4%), produse textile

1. Industrial production index

Gross industrial production index of March 2008 as against the previous month registered an increase per total by 6.7% due to the production increase in mining and quarrying (+16.6%) and in manufacturing sector (+6.6%) while in electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector production decreased by 2.9%. The industrial branches which contributed substantially to the increase of the manufacturing gross index were: radio, TV and communication equipment (+27.8%), constructions materials manufacturing and other products of non metallic minerals (+27.6%), chemical substances and products (+23.4%), food and beverages (+17.7%). Meaningful decreases of the industrial production can be mentioned in the following industrial branches: means of road transport(-17.9%), textile products manufacturing (-12.8%) and clothing articles (-10.0%). By main industrial groups the following evolution of the industrial production has been registered: current use goods industry(+12.6%), intermediate goods industry(+10,9%), energy industry (+4.2%), capital goods industry (-3.8%) and durable goods industry (-6.0%). In March 2008 as compared to March 2007gross industrial production index registered a growth of 2.9% supported by the production increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.4%), manufacturing (+3.0%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+6.0%). The industrial branches which contributed substantially to the increase of the manufacturing gross index were: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+30.5%), tobacco products (+21.8%),means of transport not including road transport (+18.6%), radio, TV and communication equipment (+16.6%). Meaningful production decreases wereregistered in the industrial branches: electric machinery and apparatus (-16.5%), furniture and other industrial activities n.c.e. (-12.4%), textile products manufacturing (-9.8%) and

(-9,8%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-9,8%). Pe marile grupe industriale cea mai marecretere a produciei s-a nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+10,7%), urmat de industria bunurilor de capital (+2,0%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+1,2%) i industria energetic (+0,6%), n timp ce n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 13,6%. Comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, n trimestrul I 2008 indicele brut al produciei industriale a fost mai mare cu 5,4%, cretere susinut de industria prelucrtoare (+6,1%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+9,2%), n timp ce n industria extractiv producia a sczut cu 3,9%. n industria prelucrtoare cele mai mari creteri ale produciei s-au nregistrat n ramurile: produse din tutun (+37,7%), mijloace de transport rutier (+25,8%) i edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+22,9%). Impactul creterilor semnificative menionate asupra creterii produciei pe ansamblul industriei prelucrtoare a fost estompat de scderile nregistrate n alte ramuri industriale, precum: aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (-17,4%), maini i aparate electrice (-8,8%), produse textile(-6,8%), pielrie i nclminte (-5,6%). Pe marile grupe industriale cele mai mari creteri s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de capital (+16,1%), urmat de industria bunurilor de uz curent (+7,4%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+2,7%) iindustria energetic (+0,4%), n timp ce n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 1,9%. Indicele produciei industriale ajustat n funcie de numrul de zile lucrtoare a crescut n luna martie2008 fa de luna precedent cu11,5%, cretere determinat de mrirea produciei n industria extractiv(+19,9%) i n industria prelucrtoare(+12,1%), n timp ce n industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap producia a sczut cu 4,8%. n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale a cror producie a crescut semnificativ au fost: echipamente pentru

pulp, paper and paper products (-9.8%). By main industrial groups the highest production growth was registered in current use goods industry (+10.7%) followed bycapital goods industry (+2.0%), intermediate goods industry (+1.2%) and energy industry (+0.6%) while in durable goods industryproduction decreased by 13.6%. During the first quarter of 2008, in comparison with the same period of last year gross industrial production index was by 5.4% higher that increase being supported by manufacturing (+6.1%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry(+9.2%) while in mining and quarrying production decreased by 3.9%. In manufacturing the highest production increases were registered in the industrial branches: tobacco products (+37.7%), means of road transport (+25.8%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+22.9%). The impact of significant growths mentioned above over the growth per total manufacturing was diminished by the decreases registered in other manufacturing branches, such as: medical precision, optical, watchmaking instruments and apparatus (-17.4%), electric machinery and apparatus (-8.8%), textile products manufacturing (-6.8%), leather goods and footwear (-5.6%). By main industrial groups the highest growths were registered in capital goods industry (+16.1%) followed by current use goods industry (+7.4%), intermediate goods industry (+2.7%) and energy industry (+0.4%) while in durable goods industry production decreased by 1.9%. Adjusted index of industrial production according to the number of working days increased in March 2008 as against the previous month by 11.5% due to the production increase in mining and quarrying (+19.9%) and in manufacturing (+12.1%) while in electric and thermal energy, gas and water industryproduction decreased by 4.8%. In manufacturing the industrial branches whose production meaningfuly increased were: radio, TV and communication equipment (+31.8%), constructions materials

radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+31,8%), fabricarea materialelor de construcii i a altor produse din minerale nemetalice(+30,4%), alimentar i buturi (+21,6%) i substane i produse chimice (+21,6%).Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare a cror producie a sczut au fost: mijloace de transport rutier (-15,0%), produse textile (-3,0%), articole de mbrcminte (-2,3%).Pe marile grupe industriale evoluia indicelui ajustat al produciei industriale se prezint astfel: industria bunurilor intermediare (+15,2%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (+14,5%), industria energetic (+4,7%), industria bunurilor de capital (+3,3%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-3,5%). Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut n martie 2008 cu 5,7%, datorit creterii produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+3,1%), industria prelucrtoare (+5,8%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+5,8%). n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurileindustriale cu cele mai importante creteri au fost: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+33,0%), mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (+22,3%), produse din tutun (+21,8%). Scderi semnificative ale indicelui ajustat al produciei industriale s-au nregistrat n ramurile: maini i aparate electrice (-14,9%), celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-7,5%), produse textile (-6,2%). Pe marile grupe industriale creteri ale produciei s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+12,6%), urmat de industria bunurilor de capital (+3,6%),industria bunurilor intermediare (+3,2%) i industria energetic (+1,9%), n timp ce n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 9,8%. Comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, n trimestrul I 2008 indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut cu 5,2% datorit creterii produciei n industria prelucrtoare (+5,5%) i n industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap,(+9,1%), n timp ce n industria extractiv producia a sczut cu 2,8%. n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile

manufacturing and other products of non metallic minerals (+30.4%), food and beverages (+21.6%) and chemical substances and products (+21.6%). Some important branches of the manufacturing industry whose production decreased can be also mentioned: means of road transport(-15.0%), textile products manufacturing (-3.0%), clothing articles (-2.3%). The evolution of adjusted index of industrial production by main industrial groups was the following: intermediate goods industry (+15.2%), current use goods industry (+14.5%), energy industry (+4.7%),capital goods industry (+3.3%), durable goods industry (-3.5%). Compared with corresponding month of previous year in March 2008 adjusted index of industrial production increased by 5.7% that increase being determined by all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+3.1%), manufacturing (+5.8%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+5.8%). In manufacturing the industrial branches with the most important increases were:publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+33.0%), means of transport not including road transport (+22.3%), tobacco products (+21.8%). Meaningful decreases of the adjusted index of industrial production were registered in the industrial branches: electric machinery and apparatus (-14.9%), pulp, paper and paper products (-7.5%), textile products manufacturing (-6.2%). By main industrial groups production increases were registered in current use goods industry (+12.6%) followed by capital goods industry (+3.6%), intermediate goods industry (+3.2%) and energy industry(+1.9%) while in durable goods industry production decreased by 9.8%. During the first quarter of 2008 in comparison with the corresponding period of previous year adjusted index of industrial production increased by 5.2%, due to the production increase of manufacturing (+5.5%)and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+9.1%) while mining and quarrying production decreased by 2.8%. In manufacturing the industrial branches with the most important growths were:

Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul industriei prelucrtoare au fost: produse din tutun (+40,2%), edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+36,1%) i substane i produse chimice (+18,7%), iar ramurile cu cea mai sczut productivitate a muncii au fost: maini i aparate electrice (-23,8%), mijloace de transport rutier (-12,5%) i mobilier i alte activiti industriale n.c.a. (-8,7%). Fa de trimestrul I 2007, n trimestrul I 2008, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat o cretere cu 8,7%, cretere influenat de dinamica productivitii muncii n dou din cele trei sectoare industriale: industria prelucrtoare (+9,6%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+11,2%), n timp ce n industria extractiv, productivitatea muncii a sczut cu 2,3%. Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul

Compared with corresponding month of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth in March 2008 of 6.4% which was influenced by productivity increase in two from the three industrial sectors: manufacturing (+6.8%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+8.6%) while in mining and quarrying labor productivity decreased by 0.1%. The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: tobacco products (+40.2%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+36.1%) and chemical substances and products (+18.7%) and the industrial branches with the lowest labor productivity were: electric machinery and apparatus (-23.8%), means of road transport (-12.5%) and furniture and other industrial activities n.c.e. (-8.7%). During the first quarter of 2008 compared with the corresponding quarter of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth by 8.7%, that growth being influenced by the productivity increase in two from the three industrial sectors: manufacturing (+9.6%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+11.2%) while in mining and quarrying labor productivity decreased by 2.3%. The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were:

3. Indicii cifrei de afaceri din industrie Comparativ cu luna precedent, n luna martie 2008 indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale (piaa intern i piaa extern) a unitilor industriale a fost mai mare cu 3,2%, datorit creterii nregistrate n industria extractiv (+10,8%) i n industria prelucrtoare (+4,8%), n timp ce n industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap cifra de afaceri total a sczut cu 7,8%. Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare care au determinat n mod deosebit creterea cifrei de afaceri totale au fost: echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+75,4%), fabricarea materialelor de construcii i a altor produse din minerale nemetalice (+28,3%) i maini i echipamente (exclusiv echipamente electrice i optice) (+14,7%). Scderi semnificative pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: produse din tutun (-15,9%), mijloace de transport rutier (-11,9%) i pielrie i nclminte (-10,3%). Pe marile grupe industriale evoluia indicelui volumului cifrei de afaceri totale se prezint astfel: industria bunurilor intermediare (+8,3%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+5,2%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (+5,1%), industria bunurilor de capital (-1,4%) i industria energetic (-2,3%). Pe sectoare de activitate, preurile produselor din industria prelucrtoare au crescut cu 2,1%, iar cele din industria extractiv i energia electric i termic, gaze i ap s-au situat aproape la acelai nivel nregistrat n luna anterioar. n industria prelucrtoare, creteri semnificative de preuri s-au nregistrat la produsele din ramurile: prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea crbunelui i tratarea combustibililor nucleari (+5,0%), metalurgie (+4,3%), materiale de construcii i alte produse din minerale nemetalice (+2,1%), maini i aparate electrice (+2,0%), mobilier i alte activiti industriale neclasificate n alt parte (+2,0%). Pe marile grupe industriale a fost nregistrat urmtoarea evoluie a preurilor:

+2,3% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor intermediare;

+0,8% pentru produsele din cadrul grupei bunurilor de capital;

n luna martie 2008, comparativ cu luna martie 2007, creterea cea mai mare a preurilor s-a nregistrat la produsele din sectorul industriei extractive (+20,7%), urmat de produsele din sectorul industriei prelucrtoare (+16,7%) i cea a energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+4,9%). Pe marile grupe industriale creteri semnificative de preuri se remarc la produsele industriei energetice (+19,7%). Creteri sub nivelul nregistrat pe total se constat la:

5. Industrial production price indices In March 2008, compared with previous month the industrial producer prices registered a total increase of 1.7% (domestic and non-domestic market). By sectors of activity, manufacturing product prices increased bz 2.1% and those of mining and quarrying and electric and thermal energy, gas and water products have been to the same level registered for the previous month. In manufacturing, meaningful price increases were registered for: petroleum processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuel (+5.0%), metallurgy (+4.3%), construction materials and other non-metallic mineral products (+2.1%), electric machinery and apparatus (+2.0%), furniture and other industrial activities not elsewhere classified (+2.0%). By main industrial groups, the following increases in prices were registered:

Principalele resurse de energie primar Principalele resurse de energie primar, n trimestrul I 2008, au totalizat 10365,2 mii tone echivalent petrol (tep), n scdere cu 216,9 mii tep (-2,0%) fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Producia intern a nsumat 6328,8 mii tep i n cretere cu 3,8% fa de aceeai perioad a anului precedent, iar importul a fost de 4036,4 mii tep, n scdere cu 10,0%. Resursele de energie electric, n trimestrul I 2008 au fost de 18025,8 milioane kwh, n cretere cu 1638,7 milioane kWh (+10,0%) fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Creterea resurselor de energie electric s-a datorat att creterii produciei cu 1482,7 milioane kWh (+9,1%) ct i a importului cu 156,0 milioane kWh (+264,9%). n termocentrale producia a sczut cu 805,8 milioane kWh (-7,2%), n timp ce n hidrocentrale i n centrale nuclearoelectrice producia a crescut cu 792,6 milioane kWh (+22,0%) respectiv cu 1495,9 milioane kWh (+97,4%). Consumul final de energie electric n trimestrul I 2008 a fost de 13917,3 milioane kWh, cu 5,3% mai mare fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007; iluminatul public a nregistrat o cretere cu 13,2%, iar consumul populaiei a crescut cu 8,2%. Exportul de energie electric a crescut cu 632,5 milioane kWh, respectiv cu 58,0% fa de trimestrul I 2007.

Manufacturing holds the highest weight (1349.7 thou persons) followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector (125.9 thou persons) and mining and quarrying (82.8 thou persons). Regarding industrial branches, the first place is held by clothing products industry with a number of employees of 204.5 thou persons followed by food and beverages industry with 186.3 thou persons and electric machinery and apparatus industry with 94.4 thou persons.

Ctiguri salariale Ctigul salarial mediu brut din industrie n luna martie 2008 a fost de 1465 lei (RON), iar cel net de 1089 lei (RON), n cretere cu 5,0% fa de luna februarie 2008 i, de asemenea, n cretere cu 13,0% fa de martie 2007. Cel mai mare ctig salarial mediu brut s-a nregistrat n industria extractiv de 2324 lei (RON), urmat de cel din industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap de 2370 lei (RON), cel mai mic ctig salarial mediu brut obinndu-se n industria prelucrtoare de 1321 lei (RON), respectiv n ramurile: prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv mobila) 885 lei (RON), articole de mbrcminte 885 lei (RON), pielrie i nclminte 940 lei (RON). n trimestrul I 2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, ctigul salarial mediu net a crescut cu 17,1%.

Earnings In March 2008, gross average earning in industry was RON 1465 while the net one was RON 1089 increasing with 5.0% as against February 2008 and also increasing by 13.0% as against March 2007. The highest gross average earning was registered in mining and quarrying RON 2324 followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry RON 2370, the lowest gross average earning being obtained in manufacturing RON 1321 respectively in the industrial branches: wood and wood products processing (except furniture) RON 885, clothing articles RON 885, leather goods and footwear RON 940. During the first quarter 2008 compared with the same period of previous year net average earning increased by 17.1%.
