It comprises clay pots dating back from the 4th millennium B.C. up to the present time as well as glass works from 1st millennium B.C. up to the contemporary era. European glass works belonging to the 18th and 19th centuries are also parts of the collection. Muzeul Naţional Iranian de Ceramică şi Sticlă adăposteşte obiecte din ceramică care acoperă o perioadă de timp de aproape 5000 de ani (din mileniul III înainte de Hristos şi până în zilele noastre)

Cele mai vechi obiecte din sticlă din muzeu sunt din mileniul I înainte de Hristos. Se află aici şi produse din Europa, mai ales după ce la sfârşitul secolului XV sticlarii veneţieni au produs sticla transparentă numită cristal.
