    During last decades, within Romanian pulp and paperindustry major restructuring took place :

    Were closed all the production capacities exceedingphysical and moral

    Some companies were completely closed

    Were opened new industrial platform

    PRODUCTION

    ACTIVITY

    The production department is equipped with a small tonnagepaper machine (started-up 1989) for specialty papergrades manufacturing.

    The paper machine is equipped with size press and its maintechnical characteristics are:

    Capacity: 1500 t/year Working width: 1600 mm Speed: 10 m/min for filtering composites (aprox.1400 g/sqm

    100 m/min for paper grades (from 35 g/sqm )

    Obtaining of cellulose fibrils with diameter below 100nm from different wood species for using as

    reinforcement within thermoplastics polymeric matrix.

    Advanced Microfiltering Composites -Efficient Solution for Food Safety

    The general objective of the project consists ofmanufacturing a microfiltering composite basedon cellulosic fibres intended to separate by cross flow microfiltration the disturbing and/orcontaminant colloidal components in thealimentary liquids.
