1. Indicele produciei industriale Indicele brut al produciei industriale n luna septembrie 2008comparativ cu luna precedent, a nregistrat o cretere pe ansamblu cu 9,9%,determinat de creterea produciei n industria prelucrtoare (+11,8%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap producia a sczut cu 0,6% respectiv cu 1,2%.Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare ai cror indici brui ai produciei industriale au crescut semnificativ au fost: mijloace de transport rutier (+130,2%), maini i aparate electrice (+34,4%) i pielrie i nclminte (+29,6%). Pot fi menionate, de asemenea, scderi semnificative ale produciei pentru ramurile industriale: mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-9,7%), produse din cauciuc i mase plastice (-6,2%) i prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea crbunelui i tratarea combustibililor nucleari (-4,9%). Pe marile grupe industriale se observ c indicele brut al produciei industriale a crescut semnificativ n industria bunurilor de capital (+43,5%), urmat de industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+24,1%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (+6,4%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+4,8%), n timp ce industria energetic a sczut cu 1,9%. Comparativ cu luna septembrie 2007, nseptembrie 2008 indicele brut al produciei industriale a nregistrat o cretere cu 3,8% determinat de creterea produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+6,8%), industria prelucrtoare (+2,6%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap(+20,1%). Ramurile industriale care au contribuit substanial la creterea indicelui brut al industriei prelucrtoare au fost: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+56,1%), produse din tutun (+32,9%) i mijloace de transport rutier (+24,5%). De asemenea, s-au nregistrat i scderi semnificative ale produciei n ramurile industriale: produse textile (-25,5%), mobilier i alte activiti

1. Industrial production index

Gross industrial production index of September 2008 as against the previous month registered an increase per total by 9.9% due to the production increase in manufacturing (+11.8%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector production decreased by 0.6% respectively by 1,2%. The manufacturing industrial brancheswhose gross industrial production indeces meningful increased were: means of road transport (+130.2%), electric machinery and appliances (+34.4%) and leather goods and footwear (+29.6%). We could also mentione meaningful decreases of the industrial production in the following industrial branches: means of transport not including road transport (-9.7%), ruber and plastics products (-6.2%) and crude oil processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuels(-4.9%). By main industrial groups we could see that the gross industrial production indexmeaningful increased in capital goods industry (+43.5%) followed by durable goods industry (+24.1%), current use goods industry(+6.4%), intermediate goods industry (+4,8%)while energy industry decreased by 1,9%. In September 2008 as compared to September 2007 gross industrial production index registered an increase of 3.8% supported by the production increase in allthe three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+6.8%), manufacturing (+2.6%)electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+20.1%). The industrial branches which contributed substantially to the increase of the manufacturing gross index were: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+56.1%), tobacco products (+32.9%) and mijloace de transport rutier (+24,5%). Pe marile grupe industriale cea mai marecretere a produciei s-a nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+7,4%)urmat de industria energetic (+4,9%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+3,4%), industria bunurilor de capital (+2,2%) i industria bunurilor intermediare(+0,6%). n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008, comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele brut al produciei industriale a fost mai mare cu 4,8%, cretere susinut de toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+0,1%), industria prelucrtoare (+5,0%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+8,5%). n industria prelucrtoare cele mai mari creteri ale produciei s-au nregistrat n ramurile: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+30,8%), produse din tutun (+26,8%) i echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+22,4%). Impactul creterilor menionate asupra creterii produciei pe ansamblul industriei prelucrtoare a fost estompat de scderile nregistrate n alte ramuri industriale, precum: produse textile (-18,0%), maini i aparate electrice (-11,7%) i celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-10,4%). Pe marile grupe industriale cele mai mari creteri s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de capital (+9,6%) urmat de industria bunurilor de uz curent (+8,2%), industria bunurilor intermediare (+2,0%) i industria energetic (+1,9%). n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 1,9%. Indicele produciei industriale ajustat n funcie de numrul de zile lucrtoare a crescut n luna septembrie 2008 fa de luna precedent cu 7,3%, cretere determinat de mrirea produciei n industria prelucrtoare (+8,8%). n industria extractiv i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i approducia a sczut cu 1,5% respectiv cu 3,3%. n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale a cror producie a crescutsemnificativ au fost: mijloace de transport rutier (+123,1%), maini i aparate electrice (+28,7%), pielrie i nclminte

and metallurgy (-17.0%). By main industrial groups the highest production growth was registered in current use goods industry (+7.4%) followed byenergy industry (+4.9%), durable goods industry (+3.4%), capital goods industry (+2.2%) and intermediate goods industry(+0.6%). During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008 in comparison with the same period of last year gross industrial production index was by 4.8% higher that increase being supported by all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.1%), manufacturing (+5.0%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+8.5%). In manufacturing the highest production increases were registered in the industrial branches: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations(+30.8%), tobacco products (+26.8%) and radio, TV and communication equipment (+22.4%). The impact of significant growths mentioned above over the growth per total manufacturing was diminished by the decreases registered in other manufacturing branches: textile products (-18.0%), electric machinery and apparatus (-11.7%) and pulp, paper and paper products (-10.4%). By main industrial groups the highest growths were registered in capital goods industry (+9.6%) followed by current use goods industry (+8.2%), intermediate goods industry (+2.0%) and energy industry (+1.9%). In durable goods industry production decreased by 1.9%. Adjusted index of industrial production according to the number of working days increased in September2008 as against the previous month by7.3% due to the production increase in manufacturing (+8.8%) In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry production decreased by 1.5% respectively by 3.3%. In manufacturing the industrial branches whose production meaningfuly increased were: means of road transport (+123.1%), electric machinery and appliances (+28.7%),leather goods and footwear (+19.3%) and

Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut n septembrie 2008 cu 0,4%, datoritcreterii produciei n dou din cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+5,0%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap(+19,2%). n industria prelucrtoareproducia a sczut cu 1,2%, n special n ramurile industriale: produse textile (-32,5%), mobilier i alte activiti industriale n.c.a. (-23,4%) i metalurgie (-18,6%). Creteri ale produciei industriale pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+47,7%), produse din tutun (+27,5%) i mijloace de transport rutier (+20,1%). Pe marile grupe industriale creteri aleproduciei s-au nregistrat n industria bunurilor de uz curent (+4,1%) i nindustria energetic (+3,3%). n cazul celorlalte mari grupe industriale producia a sczut astfel: industria bunurilor intermediare (-1,1%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (-1,5%) i industria bunurilor de capital (-2,3%). n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008, comparativ cu perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, indicele ajustat al produciei industriale a crescut cu 4,6%, datorit creterii produciei n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv(+0,2%), industria prelucrtoare (+4,6%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+8,5%). n cadrul industriei prelucrtoare, ramurile industriale cu cele mai importante creteri au fost:

Compared with corresponding month of previous year in September 2008adjusted index of industrial production increased by 0.4% that increase being determined by the production increase in two from the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+5.0%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry(+19.2%). In manufacturing production decreased by 1.2% especially in the industrial branches: textile products (-32.5%), furniture and other industrial activities n.c.e. (-23.4%), and metallurgy (-18.6%). Increases of the industrial production can be mentioned in the industrial branches: publishing houses, polygraphy, recording reproductible registrations (+47.7%), tobacco products (+27.5%) and means of road transport (+20.1%). By main industrial groups production increases were registered in current use goods industry (+4.1%) and in energy industry (+3.3%). The production of the other main industrial groups decreased as follows: intermediate goods industry (-1.1%),durable goods industry (-1.5%) and capital goods industry (-2.3%). During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008 in comparison with the corresponding period of previous year adjusted index of industrial production increased by 4.6% due to the production increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.2%), manufacturing (+4.6%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry(+8.5%). In manufacturing the industrial branches with the most important growths were: publishing houses, polygraphy,

Pe marile grupe industriale creterea cea mai mare a produciei s-a nregistrat n industria bunurilor de capital (+9,0%), urmat de industria bunurilor de uz curent (+7,6%), industria energetic (+2,1%) i industria bunurilor intermediare (+1,8%). n industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat producia a sczut cu 1,6%.

Comparativ cu luna corespunztoare din anul precedent, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat n luna septembrie 2008 o cretere cu 7,7%, cretere influenat de mrirea productivitii muncii n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+4,6%), industria prelucrtoare (+6,7%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+26,7%). Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul industriei prelucrtoare au fost: edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor (+58,5%), pielrie i nclminte (+42,0%), produse din tutun (+34,0%) i aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+32,9%), iar ramurile cu cea mai sczut productivitate a muncii au fost: produse din cauciuc i mase plastice (-18,2%), maini i aparate electrice (-17,8%) i mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-14,9%). Fa de perioada corespunztoare din anul precedent, n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008, productivitatea muncii n industrie a nregistrat o cretere cu 8,4%, cretere influenat de dinamica pozitiv a productivitii muncii n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+0,3%), industria prelucrtoare (+8,8%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+12,0%). Ramurile cu cea mai mare productivitate a muncii din cadrul industriei prelucrtoare au fost: produse din tutun (+40,1%), edituri, poligrafie i reproducerea pe supori a nregistrrilor

manufacturing (+12.6%) especially in the industrial branches: means of road transport (+130.7%), electric machinery and appliances (+35.3%) and leather goods and footwear (+33.1%). The single industrial branches whose labor productivity decreased were: means of transport not included in road transport (-9.5%), rubber and plastics products (-5.8%) and crude oil processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuels (-2.8%). In mining and quarrying and in electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry production decreased by 0.4% respectively by 0.7%. Compared with corresponding month of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth in September 2008 of 7.7% which was influenced by productivity increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+4.6%), manufacturing (+6.7%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+26.7%). The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: pulp, paper and paper products (+58.5%), leather goods and footwear (+42.0%), tobacco products (+34.0%) and medical, precision, optical, watchmaking instruments and apparatus (+32.9%) and the industrial branches with the lowest labor productivity were: rubber and plastics products (-18.2%), electric machinery and apparatus (-17.8%) and means of transport not included in road transport (-14.9%). During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008 compared with the corresponding period of previous year labor productivity in industry registered a growth by 8.4%, that growth being influenced by the productivity increase in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+0.3%), manufacturing (+8.8%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+12.0%). The industrial branches with the highest labor productivity in manufacturing were: tobacco products (+40.1%), publishing houses, polygraphy, recording and copying (+34.0%), medical, precision, optical,

(+34,0%), aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+25,7%) i pielrie i nclminte (+25,4%), iar ramurile cu cea mai sczut productivitate a muncii au fost: maini i aparate electrice (-18,4%), celuloz, hrtie i produse din hrtie (-6,8%) i produse textile (-5,5%).

Indicii cifrei de afaceri din industrie Comparativ cu luna precedent, n luna septembrie 2008 indicele volumului cifrei de afaceri totale (piaa intern i piaa extern) a unitilor industriale a fost mai mare cu 13,5%, datorit creterilor nregistrate n toate cele trei sectoare industriale: industria extractiv (+8,4%), industria prelucrtoare (+13,9%) i industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap (+11,3%). Ramurile industriei prelucrtoare care au determinat n mod deosebit creterea cifrei de afaceri totale au fost: mijloace de transport rutier (+85,1%), echipamente pentru radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+73,2%) i pielrie i nclminte (+44,9%). Scderi semnificative pot fi menionate n ramurile industriale: mijloace de transport neincluse la cele rutiere (-21,6%), substane i produse chimice (-5,0%), i prelucrarea ieiului, cocsificarea crbunelui i tratarea combustibililor nucleari (-4,3%). Pe marile grupe industriale evoluia indicelui volumului cifrei de afaceri totale se prezint astfel: industria bunurilor de capital (+37,5%), industria bunurilor de folosin ndelungat (+23,3%), industria bunurilor de uz curent (+7,0%), industria energetic (+6,4%) i industria bunurilor intermediare (+6,0%). Industrial turnover indices Compared with the previous month In September 2008 total turnover volume index of industrial units (domestic and non-domestic market) was by 13.5% higher due to the increases registered in all the three industrial sectors: mining and quarrying (+8.4%), manufacturing (+13.9%) and electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry (+11.3%). Manufacturing industrial branches which especially determined total turnover increase were: means of road transport (+85.1%), radio, TV and communication equipment (+73.2%) and leather goods and footwear (+44.9%). Meaningful decreases can be mentioned for the industrial branches: means of transport not including road transport (-21.6%), chemical substances and products (-5.0%) and crude oil processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuels (-4.3%). The evolution of total turnover volume index in industry by main industrial groups was as follows: capital goods industry (+37.5%), durable goods industry (+23.3%), current use goods industry (+7.0%), energy industry (+6.4%) and intermediate goods industry (+6.0%). Pe sectoare de activitate, preurile produselor din industria prelucrtoare i cele la energie electric i termic, gaze i ap au nregistrat o cretere cu 0,7%, respectiv cu 0,2%, iar cele din industria extractiv o scdere cu 8,6%. n industria prelucrtoare, creteri semnificative de preuri s-au nregistrat la produsele din ramurile: substane i produse chimice (+4,9%), metalurgie (+4,1%), produse din tutun (+2,5%), construcii metalice i produse din metal (exclusiv maini, utilaje i instalaii) (+1,8%), prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv producia de mobil) (+1,6%), pielrie i nclminte (+1,4%), aparatur i instrumente medicale, de precizie, optice i ceasornicrie (+1,4%), articole de mbrcminte (+1,3%), materiale de construcii i alte produse din minerale nemetalice (+0,9%), mobilier i alte activiti industriale neclasificate n alt parte (+0,7%), maini i echipamente (+0,7%). 5. Industrial production price indices In September 2008, compared with previous month the industrial producer prices registered a total decrease of 0.1% (domestic and non-domestic market). By sectors of activity, electric and thermal energy, gas and water and manufacturing product prices registered an increase of 0.7%, respectively of 0.2%, while mining and quarrying product prices a decrease of 8.6%. In manufacturing price increases were registered for: chemical substances and products (+4.9%), metallurgy (+4.1%), tobacco products (+2.5%), metallic constructions and metal products (excluding machinery, outfits and installations) (+1.8%), wood and wooden products processing (excluding furniture production) (+1.6%), leather goods and footwear (+1.4%), medical, precision, optical, watchmaking instruments and apparatus (+1.4%), clothing products (+1.3%), construction materials manufacturing and other non-metallic mineral products (+0.9%), furniture and other industrial activities not elsewhere classified (+0.7%), machinery and equipment (+0.7%). Price decreases were registered for: petroleum processing, coal coking and treatment of nuclear fuel (-3.3%), rubber and plastic products (-0.5%), food and beverages (-0.4%). For electric and thermal energy, gas and water price increases are experienced with regard to: collection, purification and distribution of water (+0.7%) and production and distribution of electric and thermal power, gas and hot water (+0.1%). By main industrial groups, the following increases in prices were registered:

Pe marile grupe industriale creteri semnificative de preuri se remarc la produsele industriei bunurilor intermediare (+24,7%) i industriei energetice (+19,1%). Creteri sub nivelul nregistrat pe total se constat la:

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de uz curent +14,0%;

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de capital +12,3%;

produsele din cadrul industriei bunurilor de folosin ndelungat +9,4%.

Producia intern a nsumat 18288,2 mii tep, n cretere cu 3,0% fa de aceeai perioad a anului precedent, iar importul a fost de 12639,3 mii tep, n cretere cu 0,6%. Resursele de energie electric, n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008, au fost de 48952,4 milioane kWh, n cretere cu 3941,8 milioane kWh (+8,8%) fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007. Creterea resurselor de energie electric s-a datorat n principal creterii produciei cu 4357,0 milioane kWh (+9,9%). n termocentrale producia a sczut cu 1656,7 milioane kWh (-5,9%), n timp ce n hidrocentrale i n centrale nuclearoelectrice producia a crescut cu 2344,8 milioane kWh (+20,6%) respectiv cu 3668,9 milioane kWh (+82,5%). Consumul final de energie electric n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008 a fost de 39684,0 milioane kWh, cu 5,1% mai mare fa de aceeai perioad a anului 2007; iluminatul public a nregistrat o cretere cu 9,5%, iar consumul populaiei a crescut cu 5,3%. Main resources of primary energy During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008, as against the same period of 2007, the main resources of primary energy amounted to 30927.5 thou tonnes of oil equivalent (toe), increasing by 606.7 thou toe. Domestic production amounted to 18288.2 thou toe, increasing by 3.0% as against the same period of 2007 and import was 12639.3 thou toe increasing by 0.6%. Comer exterior Analiznd structura exporturilor FOB de produse industriale realizate n luna iulie 2008 se observ c produsele industriei metalurgice dein ponderea cea mai mare cu o valoare de 362,6 milioane euro, urmate de maini i aparate electrice cu 288,4 milioane euro i de mijloace de transport rutier 274,7 milioane euro. n luna iulie 2008, comparativ cu iulie 2007, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii exportului s-au nregistrat la echipamente i aparate de radio, televiziune i comunicaii (+127,4%), la energie electric i termic (+126,9%) la produse din tutun (+113,6%). n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008 comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii exportului s-au nregistrat la: mijloace ale tehnicii de calcul i de birou (+174,0%), urmate de energie electric i termic, gaze i ap (+121,5%) i de produse din tutun (+113,3%). Analiznd structura importurilor CIF de produse industriale realizate n luna iulie 2008 se observ c mijloacele de transport rutier dein ponderea cea mai mare cu o valoare de 611,4 milioane euro, urmate de petrol brut i gaze naturale cu 573,2 milioane euro i de maini i echipamente cu 529,5 milioane euro. n luna iulie 2008, comparativ cu iulie 2007, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii importului s-au nregistrat la crbune, turb (+163,6%) urmat de minereuri metalifere (+138,0%) i de produse de cocserie, produse obinute prin rafinarea petrolului, combustibili nucleari (+81,9%). n perioada 1.I-31.VII.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, cele mai mari creteri ale valorii importului s-au nregistrat la produse de cocserie, produse obinute prin rafinarea petrolului, combustibili nucleari (+69,0%), urmate de petrol brut i gaze naturale (+55,1%) i de produse alimentare i buturi (+36,6%).

Analyzing the structure of imports CIF of industrial products registered in July 2008 one can notice that means of road transport holds the highest weight with 611.4 million followed by crude petroleum and natural gas 573.2 million and machinery and equipment 529.5 million. In July 2008 compared with July 2007 the highest increases of import value have been registred to coal and lignite; peat (+163.6%) followed by metal ores (+138.0%) and coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (+81.9%). During the period 1.I-31.VII.2008 compared with the same period of previous year the highest increases of export value have been registred to coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel (+69.0%) followed by crude petroleum and natural gas (+55,1%) and food products and beverages (+36,6%).

Industria prelucrtoare deine ponderea cea mai mare cu 1306,5 mii persoane, urmat de sectorul energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap cu 122,3 mii persoane i industria extractiv cu 81,9 mii persoane. n ceea ce privete ramurile industriale, pe primul loc se situeaz industria alimentar i buturi cu 187,8 mii persoane urmat de industria articolelor de mbrcminte cu un efectiv de 186,9 mii persoane i de industria de maini i aparate electrice cu 94,6 mii persoane.

8. Labor force market Number of employees in industry (in the units having 4 employees and over) was in September 2008 1510.7 thou persons, by 6.4 thou persons lower than in August 2008. Manufacturing holds the highest weight (1306.5 thou persons) followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water sector (122.3 thou persons) and mining and quarrying (81.9 thou persons). Regarding industrial branches, the first place is held by food and beverages industry with 187.8 thou persons followed by clothing products industry with a number of employees of 186.9 thou persons and electric machinery and apparatus industry with 94.6 thou persons.

Ctiguri salariale Ctigul salarial mediu brut din industrie n luna septembrie 2008 a fost de 1666 lei (RON), iar cel net de 1243 lei (RON), n cretere cu 3,6% fa de luna august 2008, i de asemenea n cretere cu 25,6% fa de septembrie 2007. Cel mai mare ctig salarial mediu brut s-a nregistrat n industria extractiv de 3498 lei (RON), urmat de cel din industria energiei electrice i termice, gaze i ap de 2671 lei (RON), cel mai mic ctig salarial mediu brut obinndu-se n industria prelucrtoare de 1445 lei (RON), respectiv n ramurile: articole de mbrcminte 946 lei (RON), prelucrarea lemnului i a produselor din lemn (exclusiv mobila) 978 lei (RON) i pielrie i nclminte 1000 lei (RON). n perioada 1.I-30.IX.2008, comparativ cu aceeai perioad din anul precedent, ctigul salarial mediu net a crescut cu 21,3%.

Earnings In September 2008, gross average earning in industry was RON 1666 while the net one was RON 1243 increasing with 3.6% as against august 2008 but increasing by 25.6% as against september 2007. The highest gross average earning was registered in mining and quarrying RON 3498 followed by electric and thermal energy, gas and water industry RON 2671, the lowest gross average earning being obtained in manufacturing RON 1445 respectively in the industrial branches: clothing articles RON 946, wood and wood products processing (except furniture) RON 978 and leather goods and footwear RON 1000. During the period 1.I-30.IX.2008 compared with the corresponding period of previous year net average earning increased by 21,3%.
