HUDDLE’S FALL RETREAT
will be in Glade Springs, WV
October 11th -13th ! Trip Cost is $80
$40 Deposit holds your spot
Cost includes: Lodging, Meals & Retreat Activities
WV UMC VIM is responding to a strong call from NEJ VIM for volunteers to contin-ue efforts in recovery in Puerto Rico. 35,000 homes remain under blue tarps. I've scheduled February 4 - 14, 2020 following the same schedule and routine as our
2019 project. Cost is anticipated to be a total of $1,650, though I think WV conference will cover air fare, reducing individual cost to approx. $1,000 to $1,100. Fundraisers can help reduce this further. As with the 2019 trip, we won't know our precise location until a week before traveling. Kay Shirey is not able to go on this trip and we are reach-ing out to the congregation to see if someone else is inter-ested. Call the Church Office or contact Kay at
[email protected] for more information.
Snacks In Packs Ministry Coordinator(s) needed! The mission of Snacks In Packs is to send bags of healthy snacks home with children who don’t have enough to eat on weekends. The coordina-tor’s main role is to manage the snacks in packs program at Lewisburg Elementary (we have a set team of excellent volunteers!), the summer pro-
gram we operate in partnership with Americorps Energy Express, and to help raise and distribute funds to any snacks in packs program in Greenbrier County that needs funding for the purchase of foods. This is a rewarding volunteer position with a great team of lots of volunteers! Lara would be willing to work alongside someone for the upcoming year as you learn the current system and then develop it beyond. Please see Lara at the piano or call her at home at 304-647-4825 or contact the church office if you’re interested! And please share with folks that you think may be passionate about this outreach! Thanks!

We want to hear from you! Are you willing to present your “story” during worship? A “My Story” is a testimony or a snippet about something that you’ve experienced, and what God is doing in your life. Sharing is only five minutes or less and is a very powerful way to reach others by honoring God. If you would like to share please sign up on the clipboard or reach out to Rev. Bev for more details.
