I-a trăznit şi d-lui prin cap să nască un nou partid; adecă să se vadă şef de parlid. Şi din scremetele muntelui a eşit un şoricel. A strigat: „mă rup de par- tidul national-tărănesc, fac in- flaţie şi de bani şi de aderenţi politici, fac un nou partid, îl botez „adevăratul parlid tării" nesc* şi., mă aşez frumos în fruntea lui. Zis şi făcut. D-l Iunian a stri - gat: cine-o vrea, să vină după mine. Nu interesează crezul po- litic; vorba e să fim mulji. A plecat apoi la Câmpu-Lung în Muscel, unde a convocat o uriaşă adunare şi după ce s a convins că nici două mâini nu au degete mai multe decât erau cei-ce l-au urmat, a ţinut o cu- vântare şi a făcut botezul. Şi-a botezet partidul: radical-jărănesc. Avem aşadară în bogata noas- tră ţară de partide, unul mai mult Adecă încă un şef de par- tid, fără partid. Curat povestea, de care a- minţeam: Un copil mic, care vroia să fie mare, a luat într’o bună zi căciula şi baful lui iăt’său şi a eşii mândru în stradă ca să-l admire lumea. Urmarea e uşor de ghicit: ho- hotele de râs ale lumei l-au făcut să-şi plece nasul şi s’o zbughiască ruşinat în casă. Cu atâta s-a ales şi d-l Iunian în Muscel. Problema economiilor bugetare Hoterâl lucru că, una din cau- zele acuităţii crizei economice dela noi, este moştenirea dezas- troasă pe care ne-au lăsat-o guvernanţii din trecut la Minis- terul de Finanţe. Aceaslă moştenire nenorocită prezintă două aspecte, unul mai grav decât celalt. Am avut pe deoparte bugetele deficitare, cari s’au succedat an de an, atingând punctul culminant în 1928, când s ’a înregistrat un deficit de 12 miliarde lei. Şi am avut pe de altă parte o administraţie cri- minal de destrăbălată care a permis hienelor administrative, să sugă nestingherite de nime- nea, toată vlaga tării şi a necă- jitului nostru popor. Partidul national-tărănesc, a grele sacrificii. Bine înţeles că guvernul va cere sacrificii dela aceia,! cari le pot suporta mai uşor, rămânând astfel în cadrele celei mai stricte echităţi, pentru a nu da naştere la perturbajiuni serioase. In legătură cu economiile ce urmează a se face, ne îngăduim următoarele sugestiuni: 1. Pe viitor să nu se mai nu- mîască nici o femeie în func- ţiunile publice, cu excepţia ace- lora cari prin nalura lor cer să fie conduse de femei (profe- soare la şcolile secundare şi profesionale, conducătoarele de grădiniţe de copii mici eic.). 2. Să fie îndepărtate, imediat O scrisoare senzaţională j şi fără nici o excepţie din func a- ' ţiunile publice, toate femeile juns la guvern în 1928, şi-a dat : măritate, ai căror bărbaţi câştigă seama că primul lucru bun, ce are de făcu», e să puie capăt haosului din administraţie întro- nând ordinea şi disciplina, şi să restabilească echilibrul bu- fleter. ., - In acest scop, a realizat doua opere mari: a introdus Conta- bilitatea dublă în administraţia statului şi a înfăptuit stabiliza- rea leului, întocmind acel chib- zuit plan de stabilizare, conform dela Stat sau dela particulari un minimum necesar pentru în- treţinerea familiilor lor. In iocurile rămase vacante, nu vor fi numifi decât bărbaţi şo- meri, iar acolo unde nu pot fi numite decât femei, acestea vor fi recrutate din rândul celor ce slau azi fără ocupaţie, cari sunt sărace şi au o pregătire cores- punzătoare. 3. I *19 L A trebuit să vină guvernul bi- cefal al tehnicienilor, pentruca d-l Argetoianu în calitate de ministru de finanţe, să angajeze peste bugetele lunare frumuşica sumă de 4'fz miliarde lei. ^ w Tot partidului naţional-ţaraj nesc i-a revenit greaua sarcina de a normaliza această situaţie. Lucru foarte greu de făcut pe timpuri de criză ca acelea pe cari le trăim. Când e greu să menţii echilibrul unui buget, ne- cum să echilibrezi un buget Prăbuşit. Şi totuşi echilibrarea bugetului este absolut indispen- sabilă dacă nu voim să com- promitem stabilizarea leului, fă- cută cu atâtea jertfe. Vom da mai jos motivarea sugestiunilor noastre: a) In majoritatea cazurilor, un bărbat posedă mai multe facul- tăţi fizice şi intelectuale decât o femeie. El este mai apt de a presta o muncă intensivă şi pro- ductivă. . w. ..„ b) Forma, în care e alcatuita azi viaţa noastră socială, avand ca bază de organizare familia, impune bărbatului, actual sau viitor şef de familie, să agoni- sească cele de lipsa a lor sai. c) Femeia, pe de alta parte, măritată sau nu, este obligata siuni bine duse la îndeplinire, i-ar mai îngădui să se ocupe şi de altceva, în acest caz credem noi, că cel mai bun lucru ce ar avea de făcui, ar fi, să-şi consacre timpul şi prisosul de energie, operelor de interes co- mun — dar în mod gratuit — cari prin scopul ce urmăresc, sunt în nota preocupărilor şi a structurii spirituale şi sufleteşti a le femeii. d) Numărul mare de şomeuri intelectuali este un pericol per- manent pentru liniştea internă şi pentru ordinea socială ac- tuală. Pentru că cei ce azi stau încă liniştiţi şi împrăştiaţi prin sate şi prin mahalalele oraşelor, nutrind, de pe o zi pe aita, spe- ranţe de mai bine, mâine pot constitui uriaşe gloate de răs- vrătiţi, capabili să provoace grave convulsiuni în stat. Re- pausul fortat, la care sunt con- damnaţi aceşti intelectuali, este un timp de meditaţie, când spi- ritele lor vagabondează de la o preocupare la alta. Unele din ele se corup, altele se viciază, însă toate urzesc planuri cum s’ar putea ajunge la o viaţă mai __ — A ~ m 1 M 1« nî IxsiV v «1 /"V o bună. Aceste planuri trebue să ne alarmeze, fiindcă sătenilor titraţi şi muritori de foame, nu le arde de glumă. e) Fetele tinere, multe din ele titrate, care din cauza lăcomiei semenelor lor măritate nu-şi pot găsi o slujbă, vor deveni libere profesioniste alegându-şi cea mai degradantă carieră: prosti- tuţia. Gândiji-vă dar, mamelor, ce ocupaţi azi o slujbă, la soarta tristă care poate lovi mâine pe fetele voastre. Părăsiţi dar sluj- bele şi lăsaţi-le acelora cari sub imperiul foamei vor fi silite să renunţe la cinslea lor. f) Se poate observa că cele mai multe femii măritate, sluj- başe la Stat, întrebuinţează leafa lor exclusiv pentru articole de toiletă. Ei bine, oricât de mult ne-ar plăcea să ne vedem so- ţiile frumos gătite, noi nu pu- tem totuşi admite risipa lor, când sunt atâţia condamnaţi la mizerie. Este inechitabil, neu- man şi foarte necuviincios ca soţia generalului X sau a colo- nelului Y, să fie profesoară, când atâtea profesoare nemăritate stau fără catedră. g) Cerând reducerea numă- rului liceelor de fete şi orien- tarea acestora spre şcolile pro- fesionale, am avut în vedere două lucruri: împuţinarea pe viitor a candidatelor la funcţiu- nile publice; pregătirea fetelor iinere pentru rolul lor de vii- toare gospodine şi mame. să-şi ndreple loate preoraplWle spre gospodărie şi spre familie. Aclivitatea şi „ închinate conducerii treburi- for ‘gospodăreşti şi educaţie. Aşa dar, se impun economii, j lor idealul ce trebuie economii mari cari vor cere c p > asupra taberilor de Internaţi din Rusia sovietică. Un aspru rechizitoriu adus de o publicista engleză instituţiei sovietice „Gepeu“. Nu de mult presa mondială a creerii unui sistem pentru obji- adus ştiri, că publicista cana- I nerea de forţe de muncă eftine diană Miss Climan, corespon- \ şi că instituţia „Gepeu“ reţine denia ziarului „Daily Express“, a fost expulzată din Rusia so- vietică în urma unui ordin al instituţiei „Gepeu“. La sfârşitul lui Septemvrie, miss Climan a fost învinuită de „Gepeu“ că a informat tendenţios ziarul său asupra nemulţumirilor şi neliniş- tilor din diferitele regiuni aie Uniunii sovietice, despre condi- tiunile de trai din lagările de internare şi închisorile sovie- tice. etc. Unul din ultimele numere ale ziarului „Daily Express“ a pu- blicat o lungă şi senzaţională scrisoare, deschisă, adresată vi- cepreşedintelui instituţiei „Ge- peu“, lagoda. Scrisoarea este în- titulată „Eu acuz .... “ După ce se referă la activitatea ei ziaristică în Rusia sovietică, corespondenta lui „Daily Express“ scrie : Aţi semnat un ordin peniru aresiarea mea la Tiflis şi expul- zarea mea din Rusia sovietică. Aii afirmat că am exagerat nu- mărul celor deportaţi şi pi:şi !a închisoare în Nordul Rusiei şi că am descris în mod injust condiţiunile, în care trăesc aceşti deţinuţi. Asemenea învinuiri pot avea o influenţă hotărâtoare a- supra carierii unei jurnaliste. . T Faţă de afirmajiunile în legătură jf , ' on Mlhalach cu motivarea expulzării, pot de- ! de Interne’ a trim,s 25 % din ve- de pe urma în folosul său 10- niturile realizate muncii kulacilor ? Mai departe Miss Climan în- treabă : Nu este adevărat că în- conjuraţi cu spioni pe orice străin, că cercefati scrisorile lor şi că în orice casă şi în orice fabrică aveţi agen)i ai lui „Ge- peu“? In zilele cele mai apropiate vor apare noui destăinuiri ale publicistei engleze asupra situa- ţiei din Rusia sovietică, deoare- ce Miss Climan a anunţat că pregăteşte o întreagă serie de articole de realităţi din Rusia. In scrisoarea publicistei Climan cătră vicepreşedintele instituţiei „Gepeu“. Redacţia ziarului „Daily Ex- press“ a adaogat că este di- spusă să publice răspunsul lui lagoda în coloanele saie. i-l I. l i t t m fl-l Gr. In ii Două scrisori lămuritoare Noi avem convingerea ca n’am spus imposibilităţi şi ca în acest fel s’ar putea atenua criza economică şi morală dela noi. Altfel, ce vom putea aştepta dela intelectualii şi intelectualele şomeuri; decât să-i vedem vatavi de baricade şi candidate de trotoare ? 1 Dr. Aurel Vasiu. clara că cunosc în modul cel mai exact situaţia reală din Ru- sia sovietică. In timpul verii lucrează la să- parea de canaluri, iar restul tim- pului lucrează în pădurile, care se află la 200 km. la Nord de Leningrad. Întregul popor de de- ţinuţi nu primeşte nici un sa- lariu. Li se permite numai acor- darea de alimente şi tutun, dar nu este muit de atunci, când dv. însuşi aţi fost nevoit să or- donaţi împuşcarea a 8 ofiţeri şi funcţionari pentru înstrăina- rea sistematică a alimentelor destinate deţinuţilor. Nu este adevărat, d-le lagoda, că în iarna anului 1929 e{i ex- pulzat din Ucraina de Sud spre tudrele polare, unde nu există nici alimente, nici locuinţe, 35.000 familii de „kulaci“, care au? re- fuzat să între în gospodăriile colective şi că după două luni, mii de oameni au murit acolo de tifus ? Nu este adevărat, d-le lagoda că toate oraşele noui din Rusia sovietică: Chibinogorsk, Kanda- laske, Nevasiroi etc. au crescut din munca şi sudoarea „kulaci- lor“, că politica lichidării „kula- cilor“ a fost elaborată în senzul Mihalache, ministru scrisoarea de mai jos, ziarului „Dreptatea“. Domnule Director, Citesc în ziarul „Cuvântul“ că d-l G. Iunian în adunarea sa din C.-Lung a afirmat: — „D-l I. Mihalache a soco- tit necesar să trimeată priete- nilor săi din Muscel o scrisoare, prin care să arate că legăturile politice şi de prietenie dintre mine şi d-sa n’au încetat încă. E o necuviinţă gratuită sau o glumă absolut proastă“. Ca să nu fie o confuzie, rog să binevoiţi a publica textul scrisorii cu data de 16 No- embrie a. c. ce am trimes, la cererea prietenilor mei dela Muscel. Cu vii mulţumiri Ion Mihalache. lată îexiul acelei scrisori: Către prietenii mei, Sunt informat că fostul meu prieten politic Iunian, vine să fină o adunare la Câmpulung. Mai sunt informat că s’ar fi şoptit la ureche, că prie- tenia care ne-a legat, s’ar continua şi azi subt o formă ascunsă. Ţin să preoiu pe prie- tenii mei că-mi face o ofensă cine înclină a da crezare la astfel de svonuri, Prin demisiunea d-lui Iunian care a fost aprobată de biroul partidului, legăturile mele poli- tice atât cu d-sa cât şi cu cei ce l-ar urma, sunt încetate.
