People say that a monster lives in Loch Ness. Loch Ness is in

Scotland. Loch is a Scottish word it means lake. The monsters name

isNessie. The lake is between two hills and it is 250 metres deep. Only the

first metre of water in the lake is clear; the rest is not clear and it is difficult

to see what is in the lake.

We do not know what Nessie is. Some people say that Nessie is a big

fish; others say that Nessie is a dinosaur or a dragon. In 1933 and 1944 some

people saw the monster in the lake.

Some say that Nessie has got a long neck and a small head; others say that Nessie has got a short

neck and a big head. Nessie is a strange creature.
