Mesajul Viitorul cercetarii romanesti este in

Europa. Ce facem sa apropiem acest moment?

Cercetarea in Romania are o dinamica pozitiva (cresterea fondurilor publice, perspectiva fondurilor structurale), ceea ce permite implementarea unei strategii.

In mod paradoxal, Romania poate avea sanse mai mari pe termen mediu si lung decat alte tari cu traditie, cu conditia sa stie sa atraga resurse (resurse umane, fonduri structurale, investitii private).

- Nanotehnologia - o tehnologie cheie.- Progrese in cercetarea stiintifica europeana.- Cursa pentru industrializare- Necesitatea de a acoperi intregul lant: cercetare,

materiale, echipamente si facilitati de productie.Eminenta cercetarii europene, dar lipsa progreselor

in manufactuare. Este necesara o conexiune cheie intre

nanotehnologie si fabricatie.- Necesitatea dezvoltarii echipamentelor pentru

nanofabricatie

Grupul de lucru isi propune sa aduca impreuna comunitatile care se ocupa de echipamente si respectiv de materiale, cu scopul de a gasi solutii pentru fabricarea unor produse eficiente din punct de vedere economic.

Principalul motor al activitatilor din grupul de lucru: interesele industriale.

O platforma de comunicare care are un rol unic de conectare a cercetarii in domeniul nano pe partea de echipamente.

Principalele activitati: a) transferul de cunoastere; - primul obiectiv este de a pune impreuna principalii actionari; - actionari care coordoneaza si monitorizeaza proiectele si retelele in industria nanotehnologiei si manufacturarii; - comunicare intensa in domeniul nanomaterialelor, nanoproceselor si nanoproduselor.b) nevoia de cercetare: - functionarea grupului va permite identificarea domeniilor in care este necesar un progres; - principalelor obstacole in calea dezvoltarii industriale si ca urmare a celor mai oportune tematici in domeniul cercetarii.c) o viziune pe termen lung: - scopul este de a influenta dezvoltarile industriale cu un accent deosebit pe IMM-uri;

Structurarea grupului: productia de nanoparticule; fabricatie in nanoproduse,

nanoparticole, nanopulberi, nanofluide; Crearea de nanostructuri pe suprafata;Furnizori de echipamente; Automatizare si manipulare; Calitate si tehnologie curata.

Institutul European de Tehnologie (IET)

Comisia Europeana isi propune sa creeze IET pentru a promova educatia, cercetarea si inovarea.

EIT va fi format dintr-un organism central de coordonare si o retea de entitati, care sunt de fapt echipe (colective) sau departamente ale unor universitati, centre de cercetare si companii. Aceste entitati vor fi separate administrativ de organizatiile respective, trecand sub coordonarea IET pentru o perioada de 10-15 ani.

Organismul central va elabora strategia, va selecta personalul, va repartiza fondurile.

Se prevede abordarea a maximum 10 directii strategice transdisciplinare. Una din aceasta poate fi nanotehnologia.

Flash-NewsCentre for Applied Nanotechnology opens in Hamburg

The Centre for Applied Nanotechnology (CAN) was opened last week. The aim of CAN is to render services for companies and research institutes, and to participate in research programmes of the federal government of Germany and the European Union. The CAN is being established as a stand-alone enterprise.

The Centre is majority owned by local industry via a non-profit association and its membership includes the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce as well as a number of companies such as Beiersdorf, Eppendorf, Evotec, Hamburger Sparkasse, Medigate and Olympus Winter & Ibe.

The City of Hamburg will contribute around €9.5 million for investment prior to 2010. The CAN's running costs will be covered by revenue from research projects undertaken on behalf of industry.

The joint venture will commence operations with a relatively small number of employees and its initial focus will be on nano biomaterials and nano medicine. However, the consortium plans that, by 2010, the Centre will have grown its scientific staff to over 50 and extended its scope of services to new specialist fields, such as nanochemistry and nanomaterials.

MINOS-EURONET (1) MINOS-EURONET (www.minos-euro.net) is an European

project (Specific Support Action) devoted to stimulating the participation of New Member States (NMS) and the Associated Candidate Countries (ACC) in micro- and nanosystems, one of the pillar technologies of the information society, the basic support for „ambiental intelligence”.

The MINOS-EURONET consortium has 18 partners. The backbone of this powerful consortium is constituted by the Western research organisations which are coordinators of 8 other big projects in FP6. This cluster only is totalling 159 different organisations, which provides a critical mass for pan European networking (see the map). This cluster of 8 independent projects is covering a broad spectrum of technologies and applications, requiring broad multidisciplinary science and engineering and displaying an exciting potential of cooperation for NMS and ACC.

MINOS-EURONET (2) The MINOS cluster (extended with other national

networks from Romania, Lithuania, Poland and Spain), although created for integration of NMS and ACC in the field, should be extremely attractive for Western Europe itself. This due to the “leverage” effects in the micro-nanosystems field: materials, processes, structures etc. developed for one application can be successfully used in other applications. The project is providing a “platform” for the exchange of information in micro-nanosystems. The focus will be on integrating or converging technologies, typically micro-nano-bio-infotechnologies. International FORUMS will be organised in NMS and ACC for discussing of policies in the field of Micro-nanosystems in Eastern Europe. The first of them it will be organised in Bucharest, on 25 and 26 May, 2006, by IMT, the coordinator of the MINOS project (www.imt.ro).
