The storm in your eyes
Stars were born when our eyes collapsed
into one illusionary dream, in time-lapse.
We spoke in dead tongues 'till midnight,
to find Orion triumph in dark as a real knight.
We thought we were granted a free life
but we found ourselves bleeding from a knife.
Our bible, smiles and hugs.
Our religion, love suffocating lungs.
For reality was just what we desired to see...
And protected our souls like a blind ostrich stung by a bee.
Now destiny roams the streets in a deadly machine,
chasing lost dreams of the young sixteen.
In our supernova heads dopamine was released
but then, uncle Universe.. he wasn't pleased.
He craved bloodshed... fresh pain,
He let us dwell in this cemetry of bitter rain.
If you knew your story word to word and dot to dot,
would you still choose to live what you got?
My rose petal, what is worse? To drown in abyss
when your happiness
is taken from your arms' embrace
Or live on the surface,
with no delight,
nothing dear to hold next to your heart-
to yearn your whole life for a lucky star?
Love is a paradox
-but so we are-
in this immense thunder box;
your blessing is a curse,
so tell me what is worse.
