Our main purpose covers few key things:
• Building and developing a good
Biblical and theological understandingamong young people.
• Building and developing a good
leadership team (based on Character,
Competence and Cooperation).• Building and developing good
Relationship with Churches. An
important thing for us is not to replace
church ministry, but work with and for
churches in order to expand God's
Kingdom among young
people.
Our hope is that EMAUS becomes:
• A ministry that helps young people’s
eyes open to see new opportunities,
new challenges, new meanings for
their life, etc.
• A ministry that helps non-believers’
eyes open to see Christ as Saviour.
• A ministry that helps believers’ eyes
open to see Christ as Servant and his
calling for servants.
• A ministry that helps young people to
be equipped, motivated and assisted
to work in unity serving God’sKingdom and His Churches.
Equipping young leaders in diverse areas
of life and ministry.
Motivating Christian youth & churches to
get outside of the “church walls” and be
relevant to the new generation.
Assisting - people ready to stand in the
GAP ( a generation gap)
• Generation – In Romania there is a
wider gap in between generations
• Acknowledging the needs of our
generation, 1 Chronicles 12:32 -
• Participation – We need people
wise enough to understand both
generations and good enough to
receive respect from both
generations ready to take action and be a “plug” (mediators) in between
generations.
Unity in the universal body of Christ
- Inter-confessional cooperation and
encouraging churches to work
together in various projects.
- Inter-cultural experiences and
projects that will help us get to
know each other, better understand
the other’s needs and try to be
useful.
Serving God’s Kingdom and His
Churches
How can we achieve this?
Organizing intensive courses (worship training,
leadership skills in different areas, children ministry &crafts etc) for those interested to bring a breath of fresh
air in the church where they activate.
Organizing special events for the church leaders where
they can share their personal experiences, their
expectations, their plans for the future and even their
struggles.
Facilitating various cultural exchanges mission trips and
inter-cultural experiences between England and
Romania.
Encouraging young people to get involved in projects
outside the church and start to do more community work.
For future we would like to have a place where Christian
and non-Christian youth can meet and have re-creative
activities and build relationships.
How can you be involved?
- By praying for our projects
- By being involved in different projects (seminars, teaching, conferences, meetings, concerts)
- By visiting us and ministering together with us
- By supporting us financially
