Presentation of new vocabulary
In order to focus students attention on the new lesson and also to check their previous lesson knowledges, the teacher throws a ball to the students asking them the following question: What animals do you like?
The students answer the question: I like . (horses, centipedes, bees, crocodiles, cows, parrots, snakes, tigers, cats, dogs, etc.)
The teacher will draw students attention to the picture on the board and will ask them what is there in the picture (a house).
She will then point to different rooms in the house and then name them: eg.
1. This is the hall.
2. This is the living room.
3. This is the bedroom.
4. This is the bathroom.
5. This is the kitchen.

Vocabulary practice
Then the students will repeat the words chorally and individually. Afterwards, the teacher will pin up some flashcards related to the new vocabulary and she will ask students:
What is this?, in turns, students will answer the question: This is a . (kitchen, hall, bedroom, bathroom, living room)
In order to give the students practice of the new vocabulary, the teacher will give each student a handout and they will have to arrange the letters in order to form words. (Appendix 1)
They will then do a word search. The students will have to find on the handout the next words: living room, hall, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen. (Appendix 2)

The teacher will write on the board the following structure: There is/Theres a/an .
She will then draw students attention to the picture on the board and she will point to several rooms, naming the animals in each room. eg. There is a cat in the kitchen.
The students will repeat chorally and individually the structures.
In order to give students practice in the new structures the teacher will give the students some handouts. (Appendix 3)
In the frst exercise they will have to fill in the missing words, and in the second exercise they will have to decide if the sentences are true or false and to answer with: Yes or No.
If they dont get to finish the exercises in class, they will have to do them as homework.
