con§tiinta Ior. Arhetipuri ale gandirii (biblice) ingema-nate subtil cu sclipirile Kabbalei sau vechii intelepciuni arabe nu sunt provocate - in viziunea autorului - decat cu scopul de a brusca hermeneutica istoriei §i (im)posibi-la ei sete de adevar, printr-o obiectivitate pe care ne-am obi§nuit s-o numim, cu o periculoasa comoditate, filoso-fia istoriei.

De fapt, proze-le Jui Toma George Maiorescu - mici romane §i nuvele aflate intr-o stricta armonie §i legatura pe cit de determinata, pe atat de inefabila - se constituie ca un lung poem glosand, intr-o viziune extrem de mo-derna, asupra Cantdrii Cantdrilor - pandant subtilizat al dialogului dintre proza §i poezie, dintre povestea fie-carei proze §i emanatiile ei poetico-filosofice subiacente. Pe cit de tiresc, pe atat de insolit, eroii sai i§i dau intfilnire pe mapamond, - in spatiu - in Piata Sfar§itului, in Amfiteatrul lubirii §i al Mortii, in Maghreb sau in Manhattan, Ia un Priveghi, Ianga mormantul (ne§tiut al) Jui Vlad Tepe§ ori in Muntii Atlas, in realitate, in vis, ca §i in visurile din vis, intr-o clipa de finalizare a elibe-rarii Banatului de sud de sub ocupatia nazista sau in Muzeul de Arta Moderna din New York, la Maraton, pe vremea celui dintai hoplit, alergatorul superb §i mor-tuar ... - dar §i in Timp. Timp §i Spatiu se scurt-circui-teaza prin vointa de tier a fluxului narativ care-§i contine propria naratologie, fiindca, de fapt, ceea ce conteaza in ochii poetului-prozator este devenirea, ontologia isto-rica §i panistica a fiecarei fiinte, menita sa-§i intalneasca (fie ~i pentru o data), dublul, indiferent unde pe meri-dianul eului ubicuu, un matador adevarat al spatiului §i un cronofag. Misterul este ca aceste euri ale eului - ca foame ori ca sete daruita a cautarii dincolo de clipa - se intalnesc; de unde, §i moartea §i resurectia lor deodata ca in Comedia dell'Arte, acea schimbare la vedere a decorului ori prin jocul admis.
