Park Calvary, "Way of the Cross and Calvary" in Moresnet, Belgium is a unique achievement in Europe. It was inaugurated in 1902 here was recreated in a unique way on the road to Calvary Jesus Christ on Mount Calvary. Inside, the "caves" have worked in the brick arches of Vaals and are enriched with stained glass and colored mosaics representing columns, walls, windows and marble ornaments and exceptional wrought iron structures that give a characteristic of each station. Stations 4, 12 and 14 entry and exit gates contain many Christian symbols and signs that accentuates and complements the content. Paintings of the Cross are carved in stone by prof. Wilhelm Albermann (Cologne). Stone statue of the station XII conducted between 1898-1903 by the sculptor Lambert Piedbœf (Aachen), were replaced in 1981 with bronze statues, creative Laurentius Vossenack. Pilgrims and visitors will find here an oasis of greenery and tranquility, for 68,000 ornamental plants and 90 exotic species, forming a lovely green background, especially when the rhododendrons are in bloom. The park is open all year from sunrise to sunset. Admission is free. _________________________________________________ Moresnet este un loc de devotament al Fecioarei Maria, încă de pe la anul 1750, după ce tânărul Arnold Franck s-a vindecat de epilepsie. Parcul Calvary, ”Calea Crucii sau Golgota”, din Moresnet, Belgia este o realizare unică in Europa. A fost inaugurat oficial în anul 1902. Aici a fost recreat într-un mod unic, calvarului lui Isus Cristos pe drumul de pe muntele Golgota. Toate dealurile și movila pe care este construită stația-oprirea a XII-a, au fost realizate pe un teren plat (!), numai prin munca benevola și devotamentul localnicilor. Calea Crucii este un drum sinuos, presărat cu 14 stații–opriri, concepute în formă de peșteră, acoperite în afară cu piatră de lavă de la vulcanul Eifel. Stațiile-opriri, ascunse printre plante și flori, sunt vizibile numai de aproape. În interior, ”peșterile” au bolțile lucrate în cărămida de Vaals și sunt îmbogățite cu vitralii și mozaicuri multicolore reprezentând coloane, ziduri, ferestre și obiecte ornamentale din marmură, precum și cu structuri excepționale din fier forjat, care dau o anumită caracteristică fiecărei stații. Statuile de piatr ale lui Isus i celor doi tilhari , de la staia a XII-a, realizatentre anii 1898-1903 de ctre sculptorul Lambert Piedboef ( Aachen), au fost nlocuiten anul 1981 cu 3 statui din bronz, creaie Laurentius Vossenack.Pelerinii sau vizitatorii vor gsi aici o oaz de verdea i linite, cci 68.000 deplante ornamentale i 90 de specii exotice, formeaz un fundal verde minunat, maiales cnd rododendroni sunt n floare.Parcul este deschis tot timpul anului, de la rsrit pn la apus.
