The first significant event in Jdey's timeline is late 1999, when he was at the MesAynak camp in Afghanistan at the same time as Nawaf al Hazmi and Khalid al Mihdhar.Between December 1999 and January 2000, Jdey was at "Camp 6" at the same time asZiad Jarrah. Ramzi Binalshibh claims that he saw Jdey and Jarrah sitting next to eachother at the camp. In January of2000, Jdey made a martyr video at about the same timethat Binalshibh did, under the instruction ofSayf al Adl. Jdey's video was one of fivevideos recovered from the home of Mohamed Atef in late 2001. Binalshibh claims thathe did not know that Jdey was making a martyr video at the time. Jdey was also presentin Karachi when KSM was providing training to Mohamed Atta before Atta's return toGermany.

By November of 2000, Binalshibh knew that he would not obtain a U.S. visa andstarted to consider other routes, such as flying to Canada and trying to cross the U.S.border. Records of flight reservations from the time show that Binalshibh made areservation to fly from Hamburg to Montreal, although he never took the flight. At thetime Binalshibh was making the reservations, Jdey was in Canada.

The other key piece of information is the document recovered from Pakistan inMay of 2002, which states that Jdey was part of the 9111 plot but dropped out. isunclear who the author of the document is, though the only contenders appear to be KSMand Sayf al Adl. This is the only document that directly places Jdey in the 9111 plot.

Jdey left Canada in November of2001. As far as the possibility that Jdey couldbe the unidentified male with Jarrah in Philadel hia and in Las Ve as durin the summer0[2001 9/11 Classified Information

There was a "seeking information" bulletin on Jdey as early as January of2002,after his mart r video was dj9/nv~r~~si'fied Information ..L,-,...-~~:----:~-~~~--:--~ In March of2003, after KSM providedIn ormation about Jdey, a BOLO was issued for Jdey. There was no particular recentinformation leading to the Attorney General's press conference that included Jdey. Thereis no record of Jdey entering the United States, though it is possible that he still traveledto the U.S. as he had a Canadian passport. Jdey's phone records have been analyzed andthere are no records of calls to or from known hijacker numbers.
