DUAL CURRENCY DEPOSIT Depozitele structurate de tipul dual currency sunt instrumente financiare create prin combinarea a doua elemente: un depozit clasic la termen si o optiune pe cursul de schimb.

Produsul astfel obtinut ofera posibilitatea obtinerii unui castig mai mare decat in cazul unui depozit clasic, in schimbul asumarii de catre client a unuor riscuri mai mari. Aceste riscuri pot determina la scadenta depozitului structurat lipsa unui castig sau chiar scaderea capitalului initial investit.

La scadenta depozitelor structurate de tipul “Dual Currency” banca are dreptul sa plateasca suma investita de catre client intr-o alta moneda decat cea in care a fost constituit depozitul “DUAL CURRENCY”, la un curs de schimb predefinit.

DUAL CURRENCY DEPOSIT Elemetele unui produs de tipul “DUAL CURRENCY”

Inainte de achizitionarea unui produs structurat de tipul “DUAL CURRENCY” banca si clientul trebuie sa agreeze urmatoarele elemente:

•Perechea de monede – moneda in care este constituit depozitul si moneda alternativa;•Suma depozitului – suma care va fi investita in acest produs;•Scadenta depozitului – data la care banca va plati dobanda si suma investita;•Rata dobanzii – este rata de dobanda care va fi folosita la calculul dobazii depozitului structurat;•Rata de conversie – este rata de schimb pe care o foloseste banca pentru a transforma suma depozitului din moneda de baza in moneda alternativa
