NU SUNT COPACI, SUNT OAMENI!THEY ARE NOT TREES, THEY ARE PEOPLE!

n ara Vrancei circul o legend despre pdurile din muni. Cu mult timp nainte, oamenii tiaser muli copaci, iar munii rmseser aproape goi. I have so many to tell you about the Vrancea County, which relief is a miniature copy of Romania. There is a legend about the forests from its mountains. A long time ago, people cut down all trees and the mountains were deserted.

Tria pe atunci o btrn care i lecuia de multe boli, cu ierburi culese din pdure. i pentru c se tiaser pduri ntregi, btrna gsea din ce n ce mai puine leacuri.There was an old lady who cured many illnesses with remedies from the forest. As the people had cut down all trees, remedies were harder and harder to find.

Oamenii se vindecau i o ntrebau:- Ct s-i pltim pentru c ne scapi de boli grele? Dar ea le rspundea:- Nu trebuie s m pltii pe mine, cci pdurea e cea care v vindec! When they healed, the people asked the old lady: What should we pay you for healing us?Dont pay me, its the forest that heals you!

Aa c le-a spus oamenilor ca n loc de bani, s sdeasc cte un pom pe munii din jur. Pe muli i-a lecuit btrna. i oamenii urcau pe munte i sdeau cte un pomior n amintirea celei care i-a salvat.The old lady healed many people. They went up in the mountains and planted a tree as reward for the person who had healed them.

Astfel, dup zeci de ani, munii s-au acoperit de pduri, pentru c ea a neles c pdurea e cea mai mare salvare a noastr.After many years the mountains were again covered by forest, because the old lady understood that the forest is our greatest salvation.

Astzi, dac ajungei n ara Vrancei, le vei vedea pe cele sdite atunci iar oamenii din partea locului v vor spune: Privii copacii care mbrac munii? De fapt fiecare copac este un om! If you ever visit in Romania the place where the old lady used to live, you will notice the forest planted by the people. And the people will say: See the trees from the mountains? Actually every tree is a person!
