Local Training SeminarIt is a biannual local conference, which is mainly

aimed at training the new members of AIESEC Piteşti and improving the knowledge of the older members regarding the departments where they work, through training and simulations, and through team games the new members have the opportunity to interact more with the old members, thus facilitating integra-tion into the organization.

This spring, the conference took place at the recreation center from Corbeni DJST in the period 7-10 April 2011. The conference was attended by about 40 people, including new members recruited this spring, members enrolled in the fall, members of the national management team, local management team and alumni AIESEC Pitesti.

Also, during this conference, the “take over” event took place, in which the old management team handed over the mandate to the new management team, the mandate 2011-2012

Seminarul Local de PregătireEste o conferinţă locală, bianuală, care are ca

principal scop pregătirea membrilor noi ai AIESEC Piteşti şi perfecţionarea cunoştinţelor membrilor vechi în cadrul departamentelor în care lucrează, prin training-uri şi simulări, iar prin jocuri de echipă membrii noi au ocazia să interacţioneze mai mult cu membrii vechi facilitând astfel integrarea în organi-zaţie.

În primăvara aceasta, conferinţa a avut loc la centrul de agrement al DJST din Corbeni, în peri-oada 7-10 aprilie 2011. La conferinţă au participat aproximativ 60 de persoane, cuprinzând membri noi recrutaţi în această primăvară, membrii recrutaţi în toamnă, membri din echipa de conducere de la nivel naţional, echipa de conducere şi alumni AIESEC Piteşti.

Totodată, în cadrul acestei conferinţe a avut loc şi evenimentul de ”take over” reprezentând predarea mandatului de la vechea echipă de conducere 2010-2011 către noua echipă de conducere, mandatul 2011-2012.

AIESEC este o organizaţie pentru tineri unde aceştia pot să-şi descopere şi să-şi dezvolte abilităţ ile pentru a avea un impact pozitiv în societate.

Prezentă în peste 1500 de centre universitare din peste 110 ţări, organizaţia noastră oferă sprijin organizaţiilor (companii, instituţii şi ONG-uri) şi tinerilor să se dezvolte prin intermediul programului eXchange - Schimb Internaţional de Tineri.

AIESEC is a youth organization where young people can discover and develop their potential in order to have a positive impact in society.

Present in over 1500 univeristy centres in over 110 countries, the organiza t ion of fe rs i t s support to other organizations (companies, institutions a n d NGOs) and to young people who want to develop themselves through the eXchange Program.

The trainings during this conference were deliv-ered by AIESEC Piteşti’s alumni and trainers, also with the help from members from the national net-work.

„When I first heard about the LTS from Corbeni, I initially thought that this will be like a get to know eachother trip. The good thing is that I wasn’t wrong, moreover, it was better still.

Thanks to the LTS, I’ve learned that on many oc-casions for a team to fulfill all its tasks, there needs to be at least 2 members with initiative. I’ve also started to discover my leadership potential, thanks to Maria’s training, I’ve learned the AIESEC departments and what’s their activities, which, in turn, brought me to my decision: ICX.

Another thing that impressed me was the frien-dship between us all, and altough we’ve barely met each other, it seemed like we were acquainted for a

„Când am aflat de LTS-ul de la Corbeni, iniţial am crezut că va fi o excursie pentru a ne cunoaşte mai bine. Partea bună e că a fost şi cum am crezut eu, dar şi mult mai mult.

Cu ocazia LTS-ului am înţeles că de multe ori pentru ca o echipă să ducă totul la bun sfârşit este nevoie de iniţiativă a cel puţin 2 membri... De asemenea, am început să-mi descopăr abilităţile de lider cu ajutorul trainingului ţinut de către Maria, departamentele AIESEC şi cu ce se ocupă fiecare, lucru care a dus şi la alegerea mea: ICX.

Un alt lucru care m-a impresionat a fost prietenia dintre noi toţi şi faptul că deşi abia ne cunoscusem, parcă ne ştiam de o viaţă.”

“Cold” impressions

„For me, LTS Corbeni was, in most part, a challenge, because I was part of the organizing committee (OC Logistics) and I took a glimpse at what it means to organize an event (at a smaller scale, but in future, on a much bigger scale).

I’ve had a lot to learn after this conference, there were things that I used to treat with superiority, but now I realized that everything has to be taken seriously and to be done step by step, starting with the smaller things and ending with the important ones.

Another important things I’ve learned were about Manage-ment and Leadership, and I’ve come to realize that the receipt for success is not to pick just one of them, but both combined. Another interesting thing for which I’m glad I had the chance to learn was related to Emotional Intelligence, a very complex matter, and if you know how to manage it and know how to act in certain situations, you can turn a possible failure into a

„Pentru mine LTS Corbeni 2011 a fost în primul rând o provocare pentru că am făcut parte din comitetul de organizare (OC Logistics) şi am văzut ce înseamnă cu adevărat să orga-nizezi un eveniment (la o scara mică, dar pe viitor poate şi la scară mai mare).

Am avut foarte multe de învăţat după această experienţă, erau lucruri pe care le tratam cu superioritate înainte, dar acum am realizat că totul trebuie luat în serios şi trebuie facut pas cu pas, de la cele mai mici lucruri, până la cele mai importante.

Un alt lucru important care l-am învăţat a fost partea de Management and Leadership, unde am văzut că nu trebuie să alegem doar una din ele, ci amândouă combinate sunt reţeta de succes. Un alt lucru foarte interesant de care mă bucur că am avut ocazia sa îl învăţ, a fost legat de Inteligenţa Emoţională, un lucru foarte complex, care dacă ştii să îl stăpâneşti şi ştii cum să acţionezi în anumite situaţii poţi transforma un posibil eşec
