Municipiul Gheorgheni, în calitate de beneficiar şi promotor de proiect, în parteneriat cu Fundaţia Ethnographia Gyergyóiensis implementează Proiectului „Conservarea si revitalizarea Conacului Benedek din Municipiul Gheorgheni”, cod proiect PA16/RO12-SGS-115. Proiectul este finanţat prin Programul PA16/RO12 „Conservarea şi revitalizarea patrimoniului cultural şi natural” – Schema de granturi mici al Mecanismului Financiar SEE 2009-2014, Operatorul de Program fiind Ministerul Culturii – Unitatea de Management a Proiectului. Proiectul vizează conservarea şi revitalizarea Conacului Benedek prin lucrări de restaurare şi reabili-tare ale clădirii.

Valoarea totală a proiectului: 362.283,00 RonValoarea finanţării nerambursabile acordate: 362.283,00 Ron (100%), din care:

• 307.940,55 Ron valoarea eligibilă nerambursabilă din Grant SEE (85%)• 54.342,45 Ron valoarea eligibilă nerambursabilă din cofinanţare naţională (15%)

Gyergyószentmiklós Megyei Jogú Város, mint kezdeményező, egyben a projekt kedvezményezettje, part-nerségben az Ethnographia Gyergyóiensis Alapítvánnyal megvalósítja „A gyergyószentmiklósi Bene-dek-kúria megőrzése és revitalizációja” elnevezésű, PA16 / RO12-SGS-115-es számú projektet. A pályázat a PA16/RO12 „A kulturális és természeti örökség megőrzése és revitalizációja” – Kis értékű támogatá-sok, 2009-2014 EGT Finanszírozási Mechanizmus keretében valósul meg. A program üzemeltetője a Kulturális Minisztérium Projektmenedzsment Egysége. A projekt fő célja a Benedek-kúria megőrzése épület-rehabilitációs és restaurálási munkálatok által.
